Business Development Manager

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9-5
Working for this established and growing organisation, the Business Development Manager will achieve sales and business targets as directed and pro-actively identify and develop new commercial accounts nationwide, operating strictly within FCA Regulations. The Business Development Manager will be focussed purely on large commercial accounts, which allows for fantastic earning potential. The Business Development Manager will be rewarded with 25 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays, a contributory pension scheme, death in service, healthcare and annual pay reviews.
 
To apply for the role, you will possess proven experience as a Business Development Manager. You will have strong knowledge of the building control approved inspector market, as well as CICAIR. Ideally you will also have experience working within an FCA regulated company. You will need to possess a full UK driving licence. Due to being an FCA regulated business, you will need to pass a satisfactory credit check.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Achieve sales and business objectives relating to targeted commercial growth
Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans
Develop key contacts at senior levels of major target organisations
Produce sales presentations on a remote and face-to-face basis as required
Produce MI on a weekly basis to track performance
Pro-actively manage existing, and develop new, customer relationships
Attend Trade Exhibitions and industry events as required.
Develop and maintain competitor and market knowledge.
Adhere to selling practices and methods in accordance with FCA rules and CICAIR code of conduct

Essential Skills:

A highly successful track record of setting and achieving Sales targets
An in depth understanding of the construction industry and specifically awareness of the Building Control Approved Inspector market
Excellent Customer Relationship Management skills with ability to identify and match products with new and existing customers
The ability to identify market opportunities
Proven ability to persuade and influence
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
Ability to motivate self and influence others.
Strong commercial and market awareness.
Knowledge of FCA Regulations and CICAIR code of conduct
Full UK driving licence
