Test Analyst


  • Salary: Up to £25,000

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst to join a growing technology business. The Test Analyst will be working in a close-knit team and will play a key role in the production and support of a new generation of digital products. By implementing and executing rigorous testing procedures, the Test Analyst will make an important contribution towards optimising the quality of the company’s product whilst reducing the time it takes to launch new features. With a good knowledge of front-end web technologies, the Test Analyst will be familiar with digital application testing and processes and have a good knowledge of web browser inspection tools. Attention to detail is a must as is a hunger to learn and the ability to work in a team and to deadlines. In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key responsibilities

Defining and executing test plans to assure the quality of digital products
Collaborating with the team to support the optimisation of digital products from technical and UX perspectives
Beta testing and working with clients on new development releases
Working on multiple, simultaneous projects to deliver exceptional results
Providing first-line telephone and electronic technical support to clients using the digital products and services
Contributing towards the definition of acceptance criteria
Proactively assisting in the investigation and tracking of software faults
Continuously improve the quality of existing systems and products.

Essential skills

Familiar with digital application testing and processes
Good demonstratable knowledge of front-end web end technologies, including:

Java script

Knowledge of web browser inspection tools
Operating within a support desk environment
Using support desk ticketing systems to:

Record support cases
Follow up on support cases within a timeframe defined by an SLA

Excellent attention to detail
A dedicated and proactive approach to work
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Exceptional communication skills

Desirable experience

Experience of Azure DevOps
.NET Core
Microsoft 365
Microsoft Azure environment
Microsoft SQL Server
WordPress development
Accessibility guidelines
Awareness of 508 VPAT or WCAG2.0 accessibility certification
Knowledge of the public health/NHS sector
