Shift Agency Supervisor

Overall purpose of the role:
Assist our client’s Warehouse Managers in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment, whilst working closely with the Account Manager and upholding a strong representation of our agency. Responsible for the day to day management of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures. Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse – acting independently at the organisational level.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: –

Holding inductions and assessments on site
Checking staff in on shift and co-ordinating workforce
Assisting with training and coaching of workers
Attending worker clinics to address worker queries
Monitoring productivity
Dealing with basic candidate queries or advising them of who to contact
Dealing with basic client queries or directing the query appropriately
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Manage daily schedules, employee shifts, and time-off requests

 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: –

The drive and tenacity to achieve goals, whilst maintaining the highest possible service standards
A flexible approach to problem solving within a professional business environment
A genuine passion for customer service – able to deal with situations with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
Organised way of working, able to manage several key projects/tasks at one time to meet strict deadlines
Experience of operating in a supervisory capacity within a fast paced, highly pressurised warehouse and distribution environment
An honest approach, ensuring that any commitments to candidates and clients are met and expectations are managed effectively
PC skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and inhouse database systems
Confident attending new sites with minimal supervision
Confident communicating with candidates and clients as well as holding inductions
Professional, friendly attitude
Driving licence and ability to travel where necessary
Flexibility on hours and working pattern
Previous experience of working as a Supervisor/ Team Leader/ Manager in a busy warehousing environment
The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing up for long hours
Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company’s targets and objectives
