A fantastic opportunity for an SEO Consultant to join a global digital marketing agency, working with a range of household name clients. The SEO Consultant will be responsible for performing and supporting Search Engine Optimisation tasks such as technical audits, off-page analysis, content and content gap analysis, wrap-up reporting, and other ad hoc client deliverables as required.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ SEO experience and will have a passion for the role and an eagerness to learn, develop, and grow within the business. In return, the SEO Consultant will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Technical on page audits – supporting senior consultants with analysis, recommendations, and implementations.
Off-page auditing – link reviews and strategy input.
Competitor analysis – on and off page
Analysis – crawling, duplication, and organisation of content.
Campaign wrap-ups and reporting – traffic, link, ranking, and revenue analysis.
Support with SEO testing and blog content.
Organising internal meetings and setting agendas.
Preparing and presenting internal presentations.
Lead small internal meetings.
Attend conferences/networking and report back to business.
Preparation of client pitches.
Participation in resource content brainstorming.
Minimum of 1 year’s SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment.
Experience working with core analytics platforms such as GA & Adobe, as well as popular 3rd party tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Majestic, Etc.
Good working knowledge of content SEO, including keyword research, content ideation, and content gap analysis.
Good knowledge of HTML for SEO – writing and reading.
Excellent spoken & written English, as well as excellent literacy skills and the ability to communicate effectively via email and other written communication.
A proven track record of working well within a team environment, including a confidence and ability to present in front of others.
Good knowledge of popular CMS’ and web frameworks.
Good Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate large data sets.
A working understanding and consideration of how online and offline channels (display, affiliates, social, print, TV, email) impact SEO, and a solid commercial awareness. (desirable)
Knowledge of the relationship between SEO & Content, including how to effectively perform keyword search research, competitor analysis & content gap analysis. (desirable)
Strong knowledge of off-page SEO factors, including developing off-page strategies, understanding the relationship between PR & SEO and how to complete a backlink takedown and disavow file. (desirable)
International SEO experience. (desirable)
