A fantastic opportunity for a Sales Team Leader to join one of the global market leaders in their marketplace. The client is a global brand focussed on providing innovative and inspiring products to the creative community. The Sales Team Leader will work alongside the Sales Manager and lead a small team to implement the sales and marketing strategy for specific sales channels in the UK and around the world.
In order to apply for the Sales Team Leader position you must have extensive sales/marketing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role leading a team.
Key Responsibilities: 

Support development of and lead implementation of the global strategic Amazon sales and marketing plans to ensure revenue budget and operational profit targets across all sales channels are exceeded and revenue expense budgets are adhered to.
Work closely with Sales manager and direct reports to ensure the successful implementation of the Sales and Marketing strategies
Ensure you and your team is focused and held accountable for developing and converting new business prospects and achieving the monthly and quarterly revenue budget targets in addition to developing existing business with a proactive focus based on account category criteria.
Develop and retain a strong team of Account Coordinators to manage key accounts. Identify and action any training required and retain talent within the sales team.
Sales forecasting for future months/ years. Product forecasting support working in collaboration with Supply Chain/ Purchasing ensuring strong customer order acceptance rates.

Collate and present regularly updates on Amazon performance and progress against financial and strategic targets.
Lead teams in completion of the monthly Amazon revenue reports and all quarterly reporting in terms of revenue by channel, overall customers performance, marketplace conditions, and business prospects

Support Sales Manage with completion of commercial agreements ensuring they are reviewed at least annually with all documentation/ systems being kept up to date and accurate.
Responsible for ensuring the team proactively manage accounts via the various strategic planning documents (CRM, Brand Plans, Rolling Forecast, Sales Strategic Plan, Quarterly Reporting)
Support team understanding of corporate strategies and encourage cross department collaboration to support achievement of these strategies
Collaborate within and across departments to ensure teams are working with a solution driven focus, kept motivated, continually developing, and ensuring retention of the sales teams.

Work to align the sales teams across all departments in the business and lead the teams in collaboration, problem solving, consistent communication and elimination of all pinch points impacting business progress to ensure customer/ market demands are met.

Implement the sales admins and account coordinator IPRs, conduct performance evaluation within monthly 121s
Requirement for travel to customer meetings and trade events as deemed required by the business.
Work with the sales team to identify and regularly provide the product development team with potential new growth areas or concepts and trends within the industry. Make considered recommendations where applicable through the idea submission process.

Process improvements – both within the Sales department and proactively suggesting process improvements on a company level. Propose ideas to ensure the team are working as efficiently as possible.

Work closely with other departments including Marketing and Product Development to develop strong customer campaigns
Support with implementing an omnichannel strategy across customers and with internal marketing teams with a focus on Amazon and ecommerce channel opportunities
Have a full understanding of the overall sales department processes and be cross trained on all channels to support when needed.

Essential Skills: 

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of sales experience and/or marketing experience with 1+ years in a management/ supervisory role leading a team
Must be fluent in English – both spoken and written to business standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must have a good understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Ability to travel up to 10% to customers, shows, events; and the rest of the time spent at the UK office (Wrexham, North Wales). Travel may be national or international depending upon. NB: this position is currently working from home due to Covid regulations.
Must keep up with developments in the arts and crafts sector
Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Be able to engage with business professionals at all business levels and across departments (both internally and externally)
Must have strong sales reporting, financial and budgeting skills
Must be organised and have excellent time management skills
Highly motivated to achieve goals set in order to support accounts to their full potential
Must be articulate, friendly and outgoing in order to convey a variety of ideas and concepts
Ability to work to a very high standard while under pressure
