Working for this established and growing organisation, the Recoveries Manager will join the Recoveries and Claims department. The Recoveries Manager will be responsible for managing a team as well as an agreed caseload of debt, arising from claims, ensuring that the most effective systems and processes are followed at all times and customers’ needs are not just consistently met but also exceeded. The Recoveries Manager will be rewarded with 25 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays, a contributory pension scheme, death in service, healthcare and annual pay reviews. The company are located close to Hamilton Square train station and one stop from Liverpool city centre.
To apply for the Recoveries Manager role, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Recoveries or Credit Control. You will possess a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and have the capacity to learn new systems quickly. The Recoveries Handler will have a strong working knowledge of FCA regulations along with a passion for providing excellent customer service and experience in delivering customer support. Due to being an FCA regulated business, you will need to pass a satisfactory credit check.
Manage an agreed caseload of files and pro-actively recover losses against liable parties
Day to day management of a Recoveries team
Demonstrate a highly skilled ability to resolve disputes and collect difficult and complex debt in a professional manner, that does not affect the ongoing commercial relationship with existing clients
Process case load in a timely and cost-effective basis
Undertake detailed case analysis and assess liability in order to progress difficult subrogated recoveries
Produce specific weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and ad-hoc management information
Oversee management of escrows
Key reporting lines back to the Head of Claims
Strong stakeholder engagement with clients, insurers and panels
Contribute towards maximising the claims recovery process to consistently improve the recovery levels achieved for Insurers whilst ensuring the fair treatment of customers at all times in accordance with FCA principles.
As this role requires the expertise of a highly skilled Recoveries Handler, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Recoveries or Credit Control role is essential.
Proven track record of managing a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a confident communicator with proven negotiation skills
Ability to investigate and negotiate complex liability disputes
Build great relationships with cross functional departments to achieve a shared business goal.
Proven experience of consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs and recovery targets
Must be highly motivated and be able to work independently, unsupervised or as part of a team
Good problem solving experience.
Commitment to undertake external training as deemed appropriate for the role.
Candidates with a legal background or who have had experience dealing with recoveries in an insurance environment would be of particular interest.
