Working for this award-winning business in Chester, the Product Pricing Specialist will be joining a detail orientated team. The Product Pricing Specialist role is an analytical role responsible for the execution of the pricing strategy, setting and creating optimal pricing points, through the use of research tables and comparable properties. Collaborating and building relationships with field-based Consultants is key to support the process. The team operates 7 days a week on a shift-based rota and hours are between 9am-7pm Mon – Fri and 9-5.30pm Sat-Sun.
The Product Pricing Specialist will be working on a 9-month maternity contract and will be rewarded with enhanced holidays, subsidised travel, wellness benefits and an exceptional working environment.
The newest Product Pricing Specialist will sit at the heart of our Pricing Team, responsible for optimal price setting. You will prepare thoroughly researched pricing proposals and income projections for the Consultants in advance of visits, using a variety of data sources. You will work to review and approve pricing structures put forward by the Consultants post-visit, scrutinising the pricing structure and ensure it is accurate by referencing against other products that are marketed, having assessed their attributes and performance levels. Once approved, you will submit the pricing proposals to the Negotiation team along with clear, logical guidelines on pricing flexibility based on income maximisation and short break options to create a negotiation range. You will also create bespoke pricing proposals for multi-unit sites, support the sister brand teams by sharing best practice and develop a high level of expertise in pricing and strategy.
Essential to have:
– Good numeracy and data interpretation skills
– Understanding of factors affecting price levels
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Strong commercial awareness
– Understanding of browser-based IT systems
– Strong experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)
– Pricing background
– Data analysis and data interrogation experience
– Customer experience skills
Nice to have:
– Understanding of demand elasticity and revenue management
– Experience of contract and commercial terms negotiation
– Ability to effectively communicate with other teams to influence change
