Our client is currently recruiting a Marketing Assistant who will join a passionate Marketing department located in Birkenhead. Th Marketing Assistant will help to develop and deliver employee engagement activities and internal communications alongside supporting external marketing activities. In return, the Marketing Assistant will be rewarded with 25 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays, plus an impressive benefits package. The Marketing Assistant will be required to work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm 2 days from home is optional.
 
To apply for the Marketing Assistant you will have previous marketing experience gained within a professional office environment. The Marketing Assistant will have a clear understanding of the importance of exceptional service to both internal and external customers as well as brand awareness for the business as a whole. The office is close to Hamilton Square train station, so easily accessible from Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool.
 
 
Overview of Responsibilities
 
Work with the marketing team to create engaging articles within brand guidelines for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff Intranet and regular email bulletins
 
Take ownership and manage on an ongoing basis internal Intranet, including all design and technical requirements, to provide engaging business updates across the organisation
 
 
To assist collating business updates from across the organisation and adapting it in to user friendly information to be utilised within team meetings and company updates in a timely manner
 
Facilitate regular employee engagement meetings with relevant stakeholders to define and plan employee engagement activities
 
Work with relevant stakeholders to continually develop an effective employee recognition programme
 
Organise internal events and work with national and local charities who are supported by internal fundraising activities
 
Develop and support the planning and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives for the dedicated business areas. Co-ordinating with the Marketing, Sales and Business Partners teams. Task ownership from start to finish.
 
Liaising with Marketing Manager and team members to ensure day to day team marketing tasks and deadlines are met
 
Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to support with any design and branding requirements
 
Assist in any internal or external marketing material requests including managing stock levels
 
Monitor the Marketing email inbox, responding to any requests and liaise with colleagues and other departments where necessary
 
Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities
 
 
Experience/Skills
 
Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated in a previous role.
 
Excellent organisational skills, ability to organise a mixed workload.
 
High level of interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with people at all levels.
 
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
 
Good IT skills including Windows Office Suite.
 
Working knowledge of SharePoint and/or CMS platforms.
 
Basic knowledge of design programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects/Vimeo.
 
Flexible and adaptable to change.
 
Ability to work under pressure to a high standard.
 
To possess a positive can do attitude.
