An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business based within the telecommunications sector as the Head of Sales. The Head of Sales will be given a blank canvass to shape the department and create a winning team. The Head of Sales will be responsible for a team of Sales Representatives who operate in multiple markets including construction, industrial and commercial. The Head of Sales will have extensive sales and management experience, a strong desire and enthusiasm to succeed and an ability to operate at a high level in a fast-paced environment. A generous salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate. 
 
Key Responsibilities:   

Overseeing the sales department, reporting directly to the COO 
Taking ownership of the sales department  
Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals. 
Prepare forecasts and KPI reporting for upper management.  
Overseeing sales recruitment  
Mentoring the sales team  
Speaking with new and existing clients within a diverse range of industries and sectors 
Meeting with new and existing clients to sell companies services. 
Producing proposals and writing performance reports 
Travelling to client sites  
Identifying potential new markets 
Working to tight deadlines within a fast paced environment  
Working interdepartmentally with the Project Coordinator to ensure smooth onboarding processes.  

 
Essential Skills:   

5 years’ sales experience 
At least 2 years management experience  
A thorough grounding in sales and awareness of process  
Ideally experience working for a rapidly expanding company 
Exceptional people skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of seniority.  
Previous experience building a sales team  
This is a rapidly expanding company looking for someone to make big steps in the shortest possible time. Sales and management experience is the most important aspect, you must have the ability to hit the ground running and be hungry for success. Your experience will demonstrate this. 
Degree educated – desirable.
