Working for this established and growing organisation, the Financial Reporting Manager will work as part of a team, leading key audits to ensure the successful implementation of the audit plan. The Financial Reporting Manager will be rewarded with 25 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays, plus an impressive benefits package. The office is based close to Hamilton Square station, so easily accessible from Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool.
Overview of Responsibilities
Production of consolidated and subsidiary monthly management accounts for board review including assistance with MI board report.
Overseeing the production of monthly premium bordereau for insurers specified by Financial Controller and assistance with resolution of bordereau queries.
Key contact for auditors including overseeing the production of quarterly audit files throughout financial year in preparation for statutory audit.
Operational management responsibility for 3 members of the Finance team ensuring all support and development needs are met for each member.
To provide assistance with the implementation of accounting procedures and monthly balance sheet controls.
To oversee production and submission of group VAT return and subsidiary Corporation Tax workings.
To provide support to the Financial Controller in the production of group income budget and reforecast income analysis.
To support the Financial Controller with treasury management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
To support the development of Navision accounting software application and management reporting facility.
To support the design and development of any internal software initiatives.
To complete tasks raised by internal customers in an accurate and timely manner.
Undertake any other duties as reasonably required
Experience / Skills
Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE
Experience of direct line management of teams
Experience of working in practice (Desirable) or experience of leading the audit process
Experience of working within a Finance team, operating similar processes and systems
Experience of Navision or similar financial reporting systems
Experience of accounting procedures and controls around monthly management accounts processes
Advanced Microsoft office skills especially Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with people at all levels
Demonstrate ability to use own initiative and flexible in personal approach
Ability to challenge and improve current procedures
Ability to motivate self and influence others
