An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a small financially stable and rapidly expanding business involved in the construction industry. A market disrupter, driven to make positive changes within the industry, they are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to come on board and drive the sales growth, generate new business and head up the promotion efforts across the business portfolio.
The successful candidate will have extensive sales and marketing experience from a technical construction sales background with demonstrable knowledge and an ambitious mindset. Exceptional communication skills, drive and enthusiasm are a must in order to deliver a world class product. The Commercial Manager will be given full autonomy to shape the role and build a sales team around them, there is massive scope to grow the business internationally.
Key Responsibilities: 

Create and deliver on sales revenue and strategy across the product range – product sales, training and servicing
Lead sales activities and customer/ prospect contact and deliver on the aims of the business
Conduct Business Development and manage key accounts in line with the sales and revenue strategy
Shape and support all promotional and marketing activities and deliver to agreed budgets and timescales
Effective use of the CRM and update relevant information
Monitor and report on competitor activities
Provide feedback to the digital team on client needs and requirements
Attend training sessions and continually develop knowledge, techniques and skills

Essential Skills: 

Must be passionate, energetic and able to clearly demonstrate sales, marketing and communication skills and experience
5+ years in a technical construction area of sales, marketing or BDM role
Demonstrate a proven sales track record, exceeding targes and strong commercial acumen
Demonstrate exceptional customer service whilst thinking strategically in a fast paced environment
Have a basic understanding of scientific and engineering principles behind the product range
Proven track record of effective networking and relationship building skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
Experience in customer facing roles
Demonstrate a proven track record of successful management of both staff and customers
Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to creatively solve complex problems
