An exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join a growing and well respected business involved in the leisure industry. Trading for over 50 years, the business is expanding into South Wales and requires an experienced Areas Sales Manager to come on board and drive the business into this region, selling and marketing their products. The Area Sales Manager must come from a sales management background and have a proven track record in business development. As this a field based role, travel will be required, so a full driving license is essential. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, up to £10k performance related bonus along with a company car and mobile phone.
Scheduling regular visits to customers ensuring full coverage of the area
Servicing existing relationships with customers – promotions, sales, after sales service and credit control activities
Developing relationships with new customers
Submission of weekly activity reports including revenue forecasts.
Collect and report market intelligence information and input on to company’s information management system and sales database
Attend public, trade and dealership events
Respond to local retail customer enquiries via the company response service
Attend sales and marketing team meetings at the company’s head office
Other duties may be assigned from time to time where necessary.
Previous area sales management experience is essential min 1 year
2 years previous sales experience including Business Development with high value products/services
A desire to succeed and exceed sales targets
Must live in the South Wales region
A willingness to travel to customers across the South Wales region
Ability to work to a high standard unsupervised.
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to write accurate reports and enter data accurately onto the company CRM
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Full UK driving license
A degree is desirable
