Working for this local employer of choice, the Accounts Assistant will be providing finance and accounts support to your team and the wider business areas. The Accounts Assistant role has come about due to company expansion and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to further develop their skills and become part of their success story. The Accounts Assistant will be joining a motivated team based within attractive, rural offices.

To apply for the Accounts Assistant role, you will have proven skills in accounts or finance administration. The Accounts Assistant will be well organised, have a high level of integrity and professionalism, and be able to deal with the accurate processing of high volumes of data. Due to the rural location of the office, you will need your own transport.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will be the processing of the offices’ weekly financial returns and then to assist in a number of areas to maintain the smooth running of the department. The processing of the weekly returns primarily, but not exclusively, includes:
Sales including the checking and balancing of the branch sales records and their cash and credit receipts in advance of their entry onto the sales ledger
Petty Cash including the checking and coding of expenditure and querying or obtaining authorisation, as necessary, in advance of their entry onto the nominal ledger
Stock including checking the branch delivery documents, and querying and processing them onto internal systems in advance of their entry onto the purchase ledger
Essential Skills:
The successful candidate will have proven accounts and finance administration experience.
You will be numerate and accurate and have good IT skills, including Excel, and confidence in using computerised accounting systems. Knowledge of Navision, would be helpful but not essential as training will be provided.
This is a busy working environment dealing with high volumes and so the proven ability to work accurately to strict deadlines is important. 
The role also requires good communication skills as it will involve liaising with other offices/branches, suppliers and the management team.
You will be well organised, with a high level of integrity and professionalism and consistently maintain a helpful attitude, with a pleasant and approachable manner.
Please note, due to the location of the office, a full driving licence and own transport is essential.
